Overview: Norman’s lampeye is a great, small community fish. Very easy to keep and in fact breed, as mine did. I did not do anything special except for having planted tank with some spiky moss and they bred nicely. They are a hardy species who adapted well to a variety of water parameters. But as any fish, you still need to do your weekly water changes and so on 🙂 . Interesting fact is that their fry can be raised with their parents, but beware of other fish in your tank as they might not feel as parental… Anyway, would recommend to try, they will provide an active display in your aquarium, especially males around mating time.
