Origin: Thailand, Vietnam, Laos
Size: 3 cm
Diet: Tropical foods such as micropellets, granules or flakes as well as live foods such as daphnia
Overview: Rasbora espei are great fish to keep, lovely golden colour, playful personality. Small shoaling species so keep in group of at least 6, will do well in a community aquarium. In the wild they live in relatively still waters, densely planted so try and replicate that if you can. But I often find mine playing in the current from my outflow lily pipe. If kept with other species bear in mind large fish will intimidate them.
